COVID-19 Safety Policy
OSA Family,
We are excited to announce that we will be reopening our doors on Monday May 18, 2020 for all recreational tumbling classes and/or private lessons. Our staff is excited and ready more than ever to be back in the gym, training your athlete to be the best he/ or she can be!
OSA appreciates the continued support and positive encouragement we received while our doors were closed. This support more than ever shows us just how strong our community is and we are so thankful to be surrounded by and serve such wonderful families.
Oklahoma Spirit Academy COVID 19 Precautions
General Safety:
All-star workouts will follow the same protocols listed above during the month of May. During all-star workouts, athletes will be instructed on the following skills: Dance & motion technique/ jumps/ and tumbling. For social distancing purposes, tumbling will be limited to the skills the athlete can currently do safely on their own. We will not do any stunting during the 1st 2 weeks of May to continue to practice social distancing.

Oklahoma Spirit Academy COVID 19 Precautions
- Limited lobby access:
- No parents will be allowed in the lobby at this time. We ask that all families patiently wait in the car until your child’s coach signals for athletes to enter the gym.
- Smaller class sizes:
- OSA strives to offer small class sizes of a 7:1 ratio. We will still offer these smaller class sizes. However, instead of having two classes in the same gym, we will utilize both gyms areas, having one class in each gym.
- Coaches wear masks:
- All OSA staff will wear masks. We encouraged our athletes to wear masks as well.
- No spotting of any sort :
- During the 1st two weeks of the reopening phase, OSA will continue to practice social distancing. All classes will be instructional aerobic type classes, to get athletes bodies back in the groove after being out for an extended period of time.
- We will resume all hands-on classes June 1, 2020.
- Designated Standing Areas:
- Each athlete will be required to stand 6ft apart from each other. Designated spots are marked on the floor.
- No use of portable mats or equipment:
- During this time, OSA will not use any portable mats or equipment to ensure the safety of our athletes. The Blue Mats will be used as a standing and/ or sitting surface.
- Athletes will wash hands before entering the gym area.
- Coaches will direct all athletes to wash their hands one at a time before entering the gym area.
- Mommy & Me/Preschool classes will not be offered during the month of May.
- No Flight School Classes.
- We will not hold any flight school classes during the month of May
- No open gym until further notice
- Shorter class times to allow sanitation in between classes
- Each class during the month of May will be 50 minutes long. This will allow for staff to sanitize the gym before the next class enters.
- Back Gym doors will always remain open to allow fresh air to circulate.
- No use of the water fountains:
- Athletes are encouraged to bring water bottles with their name on it.
- Athletes will not be allowed to bring any personal belongings into the gym:
- No backpacks, purses jackets etc are allowed in the gym at this time. Water bottles are allowed.
- Athletes may be asked to have their temperature taken my OSA staff
- Front desk staff must wear face coving or a mask while inside OSA.
- Front desk staff must wipe down and sanitize all doors, counters, chairs, and doorknobs in all common areas.
- Front desk staff must keep a social distance of 6 feet from athletes, coaches, and parents.
- Front desk staff is required to wear gloves when administering first aid.
- Front desk staff will not be allowed to give out ibuprofen to athletes or coaches.
- Front desk staff may be asked by OSA personnel to take their temperature.
- Front desk staff will not be allowed to work if they are running a fever.
General Safety:
- No parents or spectators will be allowed in lobby areas during classes, practices, or private lessons.
- Parents must drop off and pick up students at the designated areas.
- Social distancing must be practiced while on OSA property.
- Anyone with a fever will not be allowed to enter OSA
- There will be no access to the water fountain. Individuals are encouraged to bring their own water bottle with their name on it.
- Each class will be dismissed one at a time upon the conclusion of class.
- Each class will have a separate entry into the building.
